COMPANY OVERVIEW

AL AMAR is an Egyptian professional simple Company providing Professional consultancy services and sustainable solutions for multidisciplinary Engineering projects. AL AMAR was founded in 1995 with the aim to be ''Professionally classified in Africa and Middle East'' AL AMAR Headquarters is located in Nasr City, Cairo, Egypt with projects spread all Over the Country; in addition to international work in Africa and the Middle East, covering several countries. e.g: Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Libya, Sudan and Algeria.

ORGANIZATION

AL-AMAR Organization Chart, illustrated on the following figure, indicates the Relationship of the company's various divisions and departments. All components of this Chart contribute as needed to the successful implementation of the required Scope of Services for a Specific Project. The Organization Chart shows that AL AMAR has a number of technical and operating divisions. The corporate management staff and support functions consist of a number of departments; each is headed by a Manager reporting directly to the President and serves the divisions/departments. AL-AMAR is dedicated to Total Quality; it has a Quality Assurance and Audit programs Reporting directly to the Company President. This is to ensure the highest desirable Standards are maintained throughout AL AMAR assignments during the various phases of its projects.

PROJECT TEAMING

It is the policy of AL-AMAR to assign for each of its projects a dedicated team. According to the PMI Classification we are working under the balanced matrix organizational chart, the Team is composed of a group of skilled individuals assigned from various company Divisions on a full-time basis as required, who perform their respective duties in Accordance with the planned schedule and budget. The Project Team is headed by a Project Manager responsible for directing the daily activities of the project. All members Of the Team, whilst responsible to the Project Manager for all matters related to the Project; remain responsible to their functional Managers for quality and conformity of Design standards and practices with those adopted in the Company Manuals.

Main strategic aim is to ensure efficient management to achieve continuity and growth to the company. Approaching our aim is based on the following key elements:

    The strategy will seek to develop our current strong knowledge position by recruiting, developing and retaining staff with the appropriate expertise. Close attention will also be paid to the principles of sustainable enterprise and integrity. These aspects go a long way towards determining the regard in which AL-AMAR is held in the market, and form the foundation for stakeholders relationships based on mutual trust. The knowledge must be available wherever it is needed in order to arrive at innovative solutions. Both knowledge and integrity are embodied in the staff themselves.

All members Of the Team, whilst responsible to the Project Manager for all matters related to the Project; remain responsible to their functional Managers for quality and conformity of Design standards and practices with those adopted in the Company Manuals.  AL AMAR has successfully completed a long list of multidisciplinary projects, in Egypt, Africa and the Middle East, covering all major fields of engineering with a total construction value exceeding US$ 30 billion. This covers architecture/ landscaping, urban planning, public buildings, and industrial plants, civil engineering and utilities, electromechanical engineering, , environmental engineering, extensive rehabilitation/renovation programs. Profiles of selected indicative projects completed or currently under design or construction are included hereinafter.

HUMAN RESOURCES:

AL AMAR has a growing permanent staff of about 23 employees, including architects, planners, landscape designers, structural, electrical, mechanical and infrastructure engineers, accountants, drafters, technicians and a highly competent support staff.

In addition to the full time core staff, AL AMAR maintains an active record of over 15 experts and specialists in all fields of relevant importance to the firm. These experts are well known authorities in their specialization and most of them are active members/researchers in national academic institutions.

AL AMAR Human Resources Department in collaboration with the technical divisions assure continuous awareness of AL AMAR staff with the most up-to-date and state-of the-art engineering design practices, specifications, codes and standards. AL AMAR staff is encouraged to attend relevant continuing education programs either in-house or abroad including: engineering conventions, research forums and seminars, and relevant sessions for preparing/updating codes and standards.
